The Groove Ensemble is a week-long summer camp for kids and teens interested in jamming and playing in a group environment. This ensemble will take classic funk, blues, and rock tunes and jam over them, learning to play solid rhythm, developing soloing skills, and communicating musically with each other. Then we will write our own original songs and play them in an end-of-week performance. We’ll provide the amps, drums, mics, and the studio.
All you have to do is show up, turn on, and start making music! Whether you are a guitarist, drummer, bassist, horn player, or singer, this is a great opportunity to learn to jam!
Experience Level: Intermediate
Students should have a solid understanding of basic chords, acles, and rhythm.
