Tristen is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, and composer who currently performs full-time with The Orchestra Now at Bard College. He has performed and collaborated in many different settings, most notably with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, touring with hard rock/ heavy metal royalty Joan Jett & Halestorm as a supporting act, producing and recording with Grammy-nominated jazz & groove-music drummer Nate Smith, and as a featured performer at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.  

 Tristen primarily teaches both electric and upright bass methods ranging from orchestral/ solo techniques to collaboration/ improvisation.  Tristen earned music performance degrees from Ithaca College (B.M.) & the Cleveland Institute of Music (M.M.)
